Hi, I'm Rhi

Hello, and welcome to the Clic-a-Clec blog. I am Rhi. Although I learned to knit at quite an early age - I can't remember when, I started again when I was 18 and did it for long enough to knit myself a 12 foot long scarf. When I left university 5 years ago, I rediscovered knitting and have really taken to it.

I am not an advanced knitter, but am generally happy to try anything and enjoy learning new stitches and techniques. I have also found that the Internet is great for learning a new technique and there are so many patterns available....

However, the majority of information I come across is American and does require some translation. Either needle sizes, finding substitute yarn, slight changes in pattern abbreviations, spelling and terminology. And while all of this information is wonderful, it can be a bit overwhelming for a new knitter or a knitter who's just discovering the Web. So I decided to set up Clic-a-Clec. An online resource for UK knitters, not necessarily re-inventing the wheel, but gathering together the information that's available and adding notes, translations and comments to help make sense of the information.

I hope Clic-a-Clec will be a constantly evolving website, continually growing - and I hope you will come along to help and share your reviews to help others in the same boat. So, go on...pick up your needles!!
